MALACCA POPIAH

You can see Popiah selling at mostly all eateries throughout Malaysia. But mostly seller serve wet (from the sauce) popiah and less content, as compared to this stall that we visit near MADAM KING shopping center. The Popiah cost us RM3.00/pcs. Although its quite expensive, but they put a lot of ingredients inside especially the fried pork oil. The taste are very fulfilling and tasty, I like it very much..We ordered 2 pcs, but we can managed to finish 1, and the other 1 i will eat it for supper.

I would rate it 7.5/10 for this tasty malacca popiah !!

MALACCA KOPI O

2 most reputable coffee brand from malacca consist of Sin Sing & Aik Cheong. Most, eateries & restaurants in malacca serve either this 2 brand of coffee. I managed to taste a cup of their famous kopi -O in Medan Selera Tengkera. Frankly speaking, the appearance of the coffee is very black, but the taste is very thin. This can be explained from the roasting process where the manufacturer places more sugar than coffee beans..If more sugar is placed, then the coffee will be blacker..and vice versa. Well, I still think that our coffee (ROSE Brand) taste much better than this. Overall, i would rate 6/10 for this cup of coffee !!!

MALACCA'S PORTUGESE FOOD

Portugese food are pretty special to me, cause almost all their delicacies are grilled. We reached the portugese settlement around 7pm that day, and we were warmly greeted by a group of 4 to 5 dark skinned people ( i presumed them to tbe portugese ). They started to introduce to us to their respective

stalls, but we already knew which stall are good. So, we told them that we would want to go sightseeing & take photogrpah around the seaside 1st before we proceed to our dinner. After around 35mins of sightseeing, we proceed to stall no 10, which is very famous for its dishes & also mango juice. We ordered their famous portugese grilled fish, butter garlic prawn and grilled brinjal. but alas, the mango juice is of no stock cause very hard to get mango nowadays according to the stall owner. Overall, the food are great, i like both the grilled brinjal & butter garlic prawn very much as compare to the grilled fish. The atmosphere was pretty shoothing with wind blowing from the sea and music at the background. I would give a 7.5/10 for this..

MALACCA MEE SIAM & MEE REBUS

Our stomach are 3/4 full after our marathon eating, but we still proceed to a restaurant nearby the newly open hotel named () to try out their signature dishes of both mee siam & mee rebus. We stepped up a few staircase to go into their restaurant, and we can see theres quite a crowd mainly lunch crowd. The restaurant are pretty long just like any other shop in JONKER WALK. After digesting their Menu, we proceed to order their signature dishes - Both Mee Siam & Mee Rebus..mamamia !!! haha I love the Mee rebus sooo very much..coz its not spicy & the soup is very tasty...both of us like it very much. as for the mee siam..i still prefer the 1 that i used to buy near my house..hehe sorry !!!
At the moment, mu personal best is MEE REBUS !! yummy !!
i will give a 8.5 /10 for my mee rebus..haha

MALACCA YAM DESSERT & DURIAN ICE

After 2 considered heavy meal for us, we then proceed to JONKER WALK & stopped by a shop selling drinks & desserts. According to some bloggers, this shop is famous for its yam dessert paste & also durian ice, so we ordered both of this specialty. While waiting for our specialty to come, we managed to chit chat with the boss of this shop, he told us that during this period of March & april it was a off peak season, that explain why they are soo free that day (feeding his daughter) haha. after chatting for around 15mins, our cool & hot dessert finally came..Well for me i dun really like durian very much, so i just ate the yam dessert..and i can said that the yam taste are pretty strong and creamy too..as for the durian ice, my wife said that it tasted great, as theres some durian meaty taste and couple with ice in it, which makes this dessert very good in a hot & humid whether that day. Overall, i give 6/10 for this . !!

MALACCA PORK SATAY

After a light lunch, we flip thru our itinery to find some other food & places that we can continue eating. We managed to look for a restaurant located around 25mins from batu berendam, it serves NON HALAL satay - PORK satay. In Malaysia, we can find chicken satay anywhere but rarely any pork satay. This i think is our first experience in tasting pork satay haha..i found the pork meat quite tasty, but not my wife..she still prefer chicken meat to pork meat haha..Well, its kinda personal here. The satay sauce are quite similar to the one in kajang, but what interest me is that they add pineapple sauce into it to make it more sour. Overall i give a 7/10 to this restaurant.

MALACCA HAINANESE CHICKEN RICE

We started our journey around 8.30am in the morning on 20/3/12, the traffic are smooth on the highway, partly because it was a working day and most of our population are busy earning money.. hehe.As for us, we prefer to travel when nobody's is travelling, so that we needn't have to stuck in a traffice jam or fighting for table for food. Finally, we managed to reach ayer keroh toll around 10.45am. We proceed to have our 1st breakfast cum lunch at one very famous & reasonable price HAINANESE Chicken rice shop at Batu berendam. (around 15minutes drive from Ayer Keroh toll). The chicken rice comes in a small rounded & compact balls, very tasty & yummy too. As for the chicken, we usually ordered chicken breast, the chicken are tender & smooth, couple with the tasty sauce and chilli sauce, it makes the whole dishes very nice. Highly recommended to eat it with a lot of their homemade chilli sauce.
Our breakfast cum lunch at this restaurant only cost us RM8.00. Very cheap & afforadable.
Besides that, the boss of this restaurant are very friendly & chatty too, he told us that this similar lunch at JONKER WALK would cost us around RM16.00. Doubled what we are eating here !!!

Introduction - My wife & Me

Hello there, My name is Jason Tan a.k.a macho. I was born in the historical city of malacca & currently im staying with my wife in royal town of klang. Im happily married with one child , and currently working in a family-owned coffee manufacturing & food packaging company in teluk pulai klang. As for my wife, shes working with a foreign bank in Jalan ampang KL.

My wife & I shared lots of common interest, that explained why we can get along , got married & live a happy & prousperous life together. I knew my wife thru a good friend of mine at a karaoke gathering with our mutual friends, actually my first impression of my wife is that shes very cool ..hehe but after frequent (cook porridge) conversation with her thru the phone, i found out that shes very friendly & chatty, and I felt very comfortable when chatting with her. This courting period last for around 1 year plus , and finally i managed to " convince" her to marry me. hehe !! My life changed greatly with her around me, and i enjoyed each & every moment with her.

Our common interest is that we like to travel places to hunt for great foods. Normally, we would draft out our itinery on places that we would visit for great foods on our free time or holidays, and we had visited quite a number of places of late and we would be glad to share it with those that share the same common interest that we do.
